Finding YOUR Steps to Success

It is my hope that you have completed the process of discovering your WHY as I talked about in my previous post.

Our WHY is our purpose or cause...the driving force behind what we do. On the other hand, our HOWs are the actions we take to bring our WHY to life.

HOWs are not aspirational.  They do not express who we want to be.  They express the way in which we behave.  The things we do when we are at our best!  They are the daily actions we take to move towards our ultimate GOAL.

You already possess your HOWs, they are your strengths.  Some of which you may not even be aware you possess.

Stay with me on this...I'll use myself as an example.

My GOAL... I want to maintain a healthy, functional lifestyle, while becoming an example and sharing my knowledge with others.

My WHY...  to ensure that I can be independent throughout my life and to inspire as many people to also live a full healthy life!

My HOWs that support my WHY... (the characteristics I already possess)

  • I utilize my organizational skills to create a detailed plan for exercising, meal planning and prep.
  • I utilize my love of writing to journal encouraging scripture,  my daily exercise, and meals consumed.  (Journaling is a strong habit I created to help me stay on track!)
  • I utilize my creativity to make journals, drawing, and note cards that encourage me along my journey.  (You will find them in every room of my house!) I also use my creativity for crafts, to keep my mind and hands busy; giving me a sense of accomplishment...(It also keeps me out of the refrigerator!😂)
  • I utilize my knowledge of cooking to create low-carb, healthy meals. I find it satisfying and challenging to take my favorite foods and make them into a healthy, low-carb alternative!
  • I utilize my faith in God to encourage myself and others to find our inner strength in order to enjoy a full, functional life. I know deep in my soul that we were meant to journey together...to guide one another along the way. I take great comfort in knowing I am never alone!
I encourage you to take some time today to write down your strengths.  If you are struggling with identifying them, ask someone who knows you, and that will be honest with you to assist you.

I know this type of reflection can be difficult, but you must be willing to step outside your comfort zone and try new ideas.  You just cannot keep doing the same thing and expect things to change.

You need to TAKE A STAND!

Do the Things you say you BELIEVE!

Live with NO REGRETS!
